Northwestern’s fall class to break admission records

The fall 2006 trimester at Northwestern Health Sciences University is expecting a record incoming class. On May 1, Northwestern opened its first waiting list for students enrolling in the chiropractic program. Those students on the waiting list will be guaranteed a place in the winter 2007 class. According to Bill Kuehl, director of admissions, the fall class will be capped at 140.

Kuehl adds that the incoming classes for the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the School of Massage Therapy are also expected to have waiting lists later this summer. The acupuncture program will be capped at 40 and the massage therapy program will be capped at 25.

Although Northwestern dropped summer enrollment for the chiropractic program, Kuehl says that has had a minimal impact on the higher fall numbers
