Northwestern launches community Web site
Northwestern Health Sciences University has launched a community relations Web site to provide a single location for community members to access information about the University’s community relations efforts for kids and adults.
The site, located at www.nwhealth.edu/community, includes a calendar of upcoming events, information about volunteering on and off campus, forms for members of the community to request a speaker from the University, and a Just For Kids section.
The kids section features information about Northwestern’s Health Heroes: Vinnie, MT, and Qi. Each character has a complete background that gives children a simple understanding of chiropractic, Oriental medicine, and massage therapy, respectively. Some online activities include coloring contests, sending postcards to friends, reading comic strips, completing word games, and more.
