First-ever Colorado Unity Symposium a success
The inaugural Colorado Chiropractic Unity Symposium, created and organized by the Colorado Chiropractic Unity Committee and chaired by Terry R. Yochum, DC, DACBR, May 6 and 7, 2006, featured seven distinguished speakers, presenting their insights and strategies for unifying the chiropractic profession.
Yochum was instrumental in bringing three statewide chiropractic associations to the table to begin discussing plans to promote and strengthen chiropractic in Colorado. The main focus of the speakers’ presentations, panel discussions, and conversations was the importance of speaking in one voice. The group hopes to achieve a unified force in the chiropractic profession to influence legislation, patient rights, and small business issues. The symposium was rated a 6.1 out of a possible 7 overall by the attendees.
This is only the first step in the Unity Committee’s goals. Future activities are currently being planned.
