NW Health approves new building
Northwestern Health Sciences University’s Board of Trustees has approved plans for a new three-story building with 16,000 square feet of space on each floor. The new space will house the Greenawalt Library, the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies, and the patient care services for all three programs at the University.
“This is really exciting,” said Alfred Traina, DC, president of Northwestern. “Four years ago we were struggling with balancing our budget. Now we are looking at a new building. We have come a long way.”
The addition is expected to cost $6.5 million. The university is seeking major donors before kicking off an endowment/capital campaign. Work will begin immediately on a 110-space parking lot, which is expected to be completed by September. Ground-breaking on the new building is tentatively scheduled for spring of 2007.
