Integrative Health and Wellness Program
graduates first students
Northwestern Health Sciences University graduated the first two recipients of its integrative health and wellness certificate. Christine Paul of Maple Grove, Minn., and Maureen Dammel of Bloomington, Minn., were the program’s first two graduates.
The integrative health and wellness program takes five trimesters, which takes one year and eight months to complete. The program is structured in a one-weekend-per-month format which allows working professionals to enhance their education while maintaining their professional careers. Students are admitted at the beginning of each trimester of the academic year.
Classes leading to the certificate include Philosophy and Principles of Integrative Health and Wellness; Health and Wellness Coaching, Counseling and Teaching; Healthy Habits and Healthy Aging — Understanding Activity, Nutrition and Development; Designing Health and Wellness Programs; and Developing Integrated Health Care Settings.
