Chiropractic researcher chosen for initiative
Jerrilyn Cambron, DC, MPH, PhD, faculty member at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in Lombard, was selected as the only chiropractic physician to participate in the Bone and Joint Decade’s Young Investigators Initiative.
The years 2000 – 2010 are officially declared the Bone and Joint Decade as part of a global, collaborative effort to improve prevention of bone and joint disorders such as arthritis, back injuries, and degenerative musculoskeletal conditions.
The U.S. Bone and Joint Decade initiative is working with the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to raise awareness of bone and joint disorders. Cambron and the Department of Research at NUHS continue to provide groundbreaking findings in basic science research related to the spine and the clinical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
