DOL career handbook cites
Chiropractic Economics salary survey info
Career seekers considering chiropractic for their future are being guided by salary information from Chiropractic Economics 2005 salary and expense survey.
The U.S. Department of Labor has included salary information from this survey in its 2006–2007 edition of the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH), the government’s official career-guidance publication. The online publication is updated every two years.
This latest edition of OOH was released December 31. Under salary information, career seekers find the book’s reference: “Median annual earnings of salaried chiropractors were $69,910 in May 2004. The middle 50 percent earned between $46,710 and $118,280 a year. In 2005, the mean salary for chiropractors was $104,363, according to a survey conducted by Chiropractic Economics magazine.”
The 2006 survey is now open. It can be accessed until January 31 on the magazine’s home page, www.ChiroEco.com. All practicing chiropractors are invited to complete the survey, which should take approximately 15 minutes.
