Parker rings up another success in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — High-energy entertainment, quality speakers, a tremendous opportunity to shop for everything chiropractic, and 5,700 registered participants all pointed to another successful Parker Seminars event, held Jan. 11-14, 2006, at the Las Vegas Hilton.

“Our 2006 Las Vegas seminar was a great success,” said Fabrizio Mancini, DC, president of Parker College and Parker Seminars. “Feedback from attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers has been tremendously positive. I am incredibly humbled by the support of the entire profession for our seminar. We all benefit when we work together for the chiropractic profession,” he added.

The event featured 64 speakers and had 43 sponsors. Attendees were able to shop at the 285 booths of 181 vendors. Additionally, chiropractors were able to earn up to 18 hours of continuing education credits, as well as take home practical information on building a successful practice.

The Parker Seminars always provides entertainment along with education, and this year was no exception. The Ernie Reyes World Action Team, a high-energy performance featuring precision drill teams, acrobatics, unique fight scenes, comical skits, and creative forms, all choreographed to dynamic music opened the Thursday general session. The team was described as “a perfect blending of traditional and modern day martial arts.”

Keynote speakers included Wayne Dyer, PhD, Les Brown, and Chérie Carter-Scott, PhD. All of the speakers related their remarks to the theme of the event, “Leadership Is Contagious.”

“[The theme] was about sharing our vision effectively with those we lead and serve, so they, too, can take on the mantle of leadership,” said Mancini. “It was our intent in Vegas — and throughout 2006 — to light the fires of leadership within the chiropractic community so we can multiply our influence and be the difference-makers in the world. We got off to a great start in Las Vegas.”

Next year the annual event will be a month later — Feb. 7-9, 2007 — at the Las Vegas Hilton. Parker is currently undertaking a preference survey concerning the dates and days of the week the conference is held. You can find more information on the survey at the Parker Seminars Web site, www.parkerseminars.com.
