Northwestern is fifth in chiropractic enrollment
Northwestern Health Sciences University’s chiropractic program enrollment has moved from ninth of 18 in the nation to fifth. In the fall of 1995, Northwestern had 710 chiropractic students. It hit its peak enrollment in 1999, when it had 819 students on campus. Enrollment then declined, but rebounded in 2005 when 708 chiropractic students enrolled.
Total enrollment in chiropractic programs has dropped by more than 4,000 students. In 1995, 14,803 students were studying chiropractic. In 2005, that figure was just 10,087, giving Northwestern 7 percent of the prospective student total versus 4.7 percent in 1995.
