2 DCs sponsor women’s conference

Two chiropractors (Drs. Carol Ann Malizia and Liz Anderson-Peacock) and a therapist in sports psychology and family therapy (STARR) are offering a one-day conference for women interested in connecting and helping one another to discover the beauty of life through shared lessons.

The Girls, Gals, and Gurus (GGG) conference will take place Sept. 30 in Jersey City, N.J.

According to Malizia, the purpose of the GGG is to “energize, educate, and empower women to make better healthcare decisions as they relate to body, mind, and spirit. Our goal is to teach women across the globe that there are valid ways to reverse the horrific stats of lifestyle disease, such as cardiac disease, diabetes, and cancers, from an inside-out model of health and well-being.”

Malizia explains that GGG brings together the concepts and foundations of the chiropractic lifestyle and connects them with those of natural beauty of the mind, body, and spirit.

Although formed three years ago, the Jersey City event is the first GGG “gala,” says Malizia, president of the organization, which is establishing a calendar for Houston, Toronto, and Australia for 2007.

More information on GGG is available on its Web site, www.girlsgalsgurus.com.
