Colorado Chiropractors
achieve unity
Three state associations of
chiropractors have put aside differences to unite into one
organization.
The Colorado Chiropractic
Association (CCA), the Colorado Chiropractic Society (CCS),
and the Colorado Chiropractic Wellness Alliance (CCWA) have
signed an agreement to merge their organizations.
The unification efforts began
in November 2005, with the creation of the Colorado Chiropractic
Unity Committee. A Unity Symposium was held in May 2006. Gene
Veno, executive director of the Pennsylvania Chiropractic
Association, helped facilitate the merger, which was finalized
July 22. Veno has assisted in the unification of associations
in four other states.
The unity committee plans
to meet with chiropractors in small groups to explain the
merger and its benefits. A major focus will be placed on unification
at the 2006 Colorado Chiropractic Association's State Convention
September 15-17 in Denver.
Members of the Colorado Chiropractic
Unity Committee include Drs. Joe Arvay, Richard Bergeron,
Jeanne Des Roche, Katherine Flesia, John Hanks, Rob Jackson,
Amanda Kelley, Kristen Kells, Daniel Knowles, Tom Lankering,
Hal Lease, Daniel Lemberger, Larry Morries, Robert Nelson,
Bruce Shotts, Tom Stanzel, and Nelson Vetanze, as well as
Joyce Martello, Don Mielke, Gene Veno, and Unity Committee
Chair Dr. Terry R. Yochum.
