CCCKC partners with free
health clinic
Cleveland Chiropractic College
of Kansas City student interns are providing chiropractic
care to needy residents of Kansas City thanks to an agreement
between the college and the Kansas City Free Health Clinic.
The result is a program that allows the interns to gain clinical
experience away from campus, while providing relief for those
who are most in need of their services.
The presence of Cleveland
interns at the clinic provides an additional wellness option.
In addition to chiropractic care, patients have access to
general medicine, HIV support, mental health services, dental
care, and a variety of testing and screening services. By
offering chiropractic treatment alongside allopathic care,
the clinic now provides the most complete health assistance
in its history.
The new partnership with the
Kansas City Free Health Clinic is an ideal opportunity for
the College to be a good neighbor to those in need. Formed
in 1971, the clinic is celebrating its 35th year of providing
healthcare solutions free-of-charge to those who cannot pay
for treatment or for those who do not have access to insurance.
