Fees survey to start May 1

Chiropractic Economics 9th Annual Fees and Reimbursements Survey will be ready for data input beginning May 1 on www.ChiroEco.com. Invitations will be sent by e-mail in May. Recipients of the e-mail are encouraged to forward the link to other practicing chiropractors, in order to get a representative sample of fees and reimbursements throughout the country.

All practicing chiropractors (or their designated representative) are invited to complete the survey. If you complete the survey, you may receive a PDF copy of the survey prior to its publication in Issue 15 of the magazine.

The survey compares a number of commonly used fees (and insurance reimbursements), including:

  • 9800 series: 98940, 98941, 98942, 98943
  • 9900 series: 99213, 99214, 99201, 99202, 99203, 99204
  • 7200 series: 72020, 72040, 72050, 72052, 72070, 72100, 72170
  • 9700 series: 97010, 97012, 97014, 97035, 97112, 97124, 97140, 97530, 97750
  • 9500 series: 95851.

In addition to these CPT codes, the survey asks about laser therapy and decompression therapy.

The survey asks for average fees you charge and average reimbursements you receive from insurers. If you are a cash-only practice, you will be asked to complete only the average fees portion.

To make comparisons, the survey also asks for some demographic information.

The survey will be available on the Chiropractic Economics home page, www.chiroeco.com, throughout May.
