New SCU research dean named

Cheryl Hawk, DC, PhD, has been named dean of research at Southern California University of Health Sciences, in Whittier, Calif.

Hawk earned her PhD from the department of preventive medicine at the University of Iowa. She also received an MS degree from the same school, after earning a DC from National College of Chiropractic in Illinois. Previously she was professor and senior researcher at Parker College of Chiropractic. She had also been director of chiropractic sciences, division of graduate studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
