Northwestern College of Chiropractic seeks new dean
JAN. 27 — Northwestern Health Sciences University has begun a national search for a new dean for its Northwestern College of Chiropractic. Robert Scott, DC, is stepping down as dean in April and will serve as a full-time professor of physiology.
Applicants for the position must have a degree from a Council of Chiropractic Education-accredited program in chiropractic or its foreign equivalent; have five-plus years of clinical experience and three or more years of teaching experience; be licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Minnesota as a chiropractor; and exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong managerial aptitude.
Northwestern is home to an international student body of more than 640 chiropractic students and more than 170 acupuncture and Oriental medicine, massage therapy, and integrative health and wellness students.
With more than 50 faculty members, the university provides students with an extraordinary faculty of PhDs, DCs, LAcs and MDs. Northwestern has 230,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms, clinics and top-notch facilities, located on 25 landscaped acres in suburban Bloomington, Minn.
Founded in 1941, Northwestern has six public clinics, more than 150 community-based private-practice clinics, and final 10th-term preceptorship opportunities around the world.
