Leaders honored at Parker Las Vegas
JAN. 27 — Chiropractor of the Year and Philanthropist of the Year awards were two of the numerous awards presented to chiropractic professionals during the recently held Parker Seminars Las Vegas. The awards included:
•Philanthropist of the Year — Dr. Mark Sanna, President of Breakthrough Coaching, for his contributions of time, money and resources for the advancement of the chiropractic profession.
•Chiropractor of the Year and Chiropractic Assistant of the Year — Dr. Jeffrey Cottingame and his wife Janna, from Durant, Okla.
•GTO Member of the Year — Cottingame was also named Grand Tour Organization (GTO) Member of the Year.
•Parker Team Teacher of the Year — Dr. Gilles Lamarche of Pincourt, Quebec.
•Parker Leadership Award — Toshifumi Kuwaoka, for arranging for a number of persons from Japan to attend the Las Vegas Seminar.
•Humanitarian of the Year — Dr. Brian Wofford of Encinitas, Calif.
•Exceptional Achievement Award — Garrett Cuneo, executive vice president of the American Chiropractic Association.
Other awards presented during the Las Vegas event include:
•Mentor of the Year — Brenda Frederiksen, of Fort Smith, Ark.
•International Chiropractic Assistants for Research and Education (ICARE) Member of the Year — Scott Godsey, Siloam Springs, Ark.
•World Congress of Women Chiropractors of the Year – Dr. Carol Ann Malizia, Walden, N.Y.
•Centurion — Dr. John Demartini, Houston, and. Judy Skibsted, St. Paul, Minn.
•Get Fit Award — Dan Casamento, Ellicottville, N.Y.
•Team Teacher Certificates — Drs. Liz Anderson-Peacock, Chris Colloca, Jay Holder, Mark Sanna, Patrick Bodnar, Gene Giggleman, David Jackson, Dick Versendaal, and Wayne Zelmelka.
•1st GTO Plaques— Dr. Russell Lewandowski, and Brenna Henry.
•2nd GTO Plaques — Dr. Marilyn F. Goodman, Jeremy Goodman, Robert Coulombe, and Dr. Erik Swenson.
