Las Vegas program dazzles participants with
education and entertainment
JAN. 27 — Celebrities entertained and educated; chiropractors and their assistants took classes for continuing education; and participants “shopped until they dropped” at the 2005 Parker Seminar Las Vegas event, Jan. 13-15.
The event drew more than 6,000 chiropractic professionals, who helped launch the seminar’s “Get On Board with Healthy Living,” a yearlong healthy living campaign.
The Las Vegas conference brought together outstanding leaders and lecturers in the fields of chiropractic, nutrition, personal motivation and development. Attendees also had the opportunity to see vendors from more than 250 companies in the Expo.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Stephen Covey, author of The 8th Habit, appears with Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, President of Parker College and Seminars. Covey was the seminar's keynote speaker. |
“Our Las Vegas seminar served as the catalyst of our yearlong campaign for healthy living,” said Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic and Parker Seminars. “Throughout 2005 Parker Seminars is challenging the chiropractic community to be responsible for their own healthy lifestyles and to lead their patients by example. We are off to a great start.”
Stephen Covey, an internationally respected leadership authority, headlined a prestigious group of motivational and personal development speakers. Naomi Judd, Mark Victor Hansen, Barbara DeAngelis and Jack Canfield also added their insights in presentations held throughout the seminar.
The seminar officially kicked off on Wednesday, with the evening dedicated to patients. It was followed by three days of classes in Parker Procedures, Personal Development, Chiropractic Philosophy, Nutrition and Building a Successful Practice. Some classes were specifically designed to better equip chiropractic assistants to serve chiropractic patients. The EXPO featured the latest products and services for chiropractic offices.
SPECIAL GUESTS
Special guests also gave testimonials as to the power of chiropractic care. Jonathan Lipnicki, star of the films Stuart Little and Jerry Maguire told the gathering about the benefits of his chiropractic care. Lou Ferrigno, a two-time Mr. Universe known for his role as “The Incredible Hulk,” also shared his support and belief in chiropractic.
The seminar was not all work. After a full day of attending classes and roaming the Expo floor, on Thursday night seminar-goers were surprised and dazzled by the entertainment troupe Dreamcast, who performed an hour’s worth of Cirque du Soleil-like precision acrobatics. Acrobats, jugglers and mimes regaled the audience. Even Mancini, Parker Seminars’ president, literally “got into the act,” as he was enticed into a giant wheel and rolled upside down.

WHEEL OF FORTUNE? - Dr. Fabrizio Mancini helped entertain the crowd Thursday night, as he joined the entertainment troupe Dreamcast in a circus-like act. |
The event was an international affair, with 80 chiropractic professionals and students from Japan attending simultaneous sessions. An agreement was signed during the seminar to take Parker Seminars to Japan in the fall of 2006.
“The energy at this event was contagious,” said Mancini. “It is absolutely thrilling to be among thousands of chiropractic colleagues and work together for the common good of our patients.”
“We launched an all-out effort to reach as many as possible about the positive, lasting value of chiropractic care. Las Vegas was the beginning. Throughout the remaining 2005 seminars you can expect Parker Seminars to lead the charge for our colleagues to embrace our philosophy, knowledge and vision so that we can guide and nurture our patients through a journey of a lifetime of healthy living,” Mancini concluded.
Platinum sponsors for the Las Vegas event were Biofreeze/Performance Health, Foot Levelers, Parker Share Products and CLA. Gold sponsors included Biotics Research Corp., Erchonia, Nutrawest, ProAdjuster, DTCA, Douglas Laboratories and Lloyd Table Company. Chiropractic Economics was the media sponsor of the show.
