Anti-steroid campaign featured on N.Y. radio show
JAN. 27 — A community outreach program steered by a New Jersey chiropractor was recently featured on “New York’s most listened to radio station,” 1010 WINS.
Featured was the National Coalition for the Advancement of Drug-Free Athletics, Inc. (NCADFA), a New Milford, N.J.-based, nonprofit organization.
1010 WINS reporter, Alice Stockton-Rossini’s interview with NCADFA founder and president, Victor Naumov, DC, and NCADFA co-founder and director of community outreach, Tom Kersting, PhD, aired in sound bites as part of a three-day steroid-awareness effort aimed at reaching student athletes, coaches, parents and teachers across the tri-state area.
The latest statistics indicate about 500,000 high school athletes are currently using anabolic steroids, says Naumov, whose organization is launching a 2005 Natural-By-Choice Campaign, a national effort aimed at reducing steroid use among teens and helping raise awareness about anabolic steroids.
