Western States wins $700,000 NIH grant

The National Center for Alternative and Complementary Medicine of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently awarded Western States Chiropractic College (WSCC) a $700,000 grant to incorporate evidence-based medicine into its teaching curriculum and faculty development. Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) will collaborate on the project.

The principal goal of the NIH grant is to train chiropractic physicians to implement scientific research into their practice. Specifically, the program will target curriculum development, faculty training, protocol development, and program evaluation.
