Chiropractic group elects first woman president

Ellen Blomerth, DC, a holistic family practitioner and doctor of chiropractic for 21 years, was recently elected president of the Massachusetts Chiropractic Society. She is the first woman to hold that post, according to The Danvers Herald, a local Massachusetts newspaper.

Blomerth is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, which funds chiropractic pediatric and obstetric research. She is also is a former five-term president of the North Shore Chiropractic society.

Blomerth practices in Peabody, Mass., with her husband.
