Logan faculty member receives ACA award
Norman W. Kettner, DC, was honored by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) with its “Academician of the Year” award. Kettner is professor of clinical science and chairman of the radiology department at Logan College of Chiropractic.
Since 2001, Kettner has spearheaded Logan College’s research partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital. The research focuses on studies of acupuncture and pain processing, using functional magnetic resonance imaging.
Kettner is a co-author of a report on a study completed within the research partnership that appeared in the March 2005 issue of Human Brain Mapping (“Effects of Electroacupuncture vs. Manual Acupuncture on the Human Brain as Measured by fMRI”).
Kettner received his doctor of chiropractic degree from Logan College in 1980 and joined the college faculty the same year. He is a past president of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology.
