Pediatric group advertises nationally
The value of chiropractic for pregnant women and children is being advertised. The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), an independent, apolitical organization dedicated to the care of children and pregnant women, has been advertising in Mothering magazine for almost a year, as well as Midwifery Today and Wellness Bound. Its ads will soon appear in two national pregnancy magazines, E-Pregnancy and Pregnancy.
According to Jeanne Ohm, DC, executive coordinator for ICPA, “Our ads draw the consumer to our public information Web site (www.icpa4kids.org) where we maintain a directory of our current members.” ICPA has more than 2,000 members, doctors of chiropractic and students. It maintains a separate Web site for professionals, www.icpa4kids.com.
The advertisements are resulting in referrals, says Ohm. “I am getting a regular stream of e-mail, calls, thank-you notes and other acts of appreciation from our members because of the amount of referrals they are receiving because of the advertising. It’s exciting to see the public respond so favorably towards our services.”
Ohm says the organization welcomes (and needs) funds to help continue the advertising campaign.
