NBCE holds annual elections

The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) elected a new president and delegates at its annual board and state delegates meeting, held in conjunction with the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards’ 79th Annual Educational Conference May 7-9 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Elected at the NBCE meeting were:

  • Peter Ferguson, DC, president
  • Ted Scott, DC, District IV director;
  • Frank Lizzio, DC, director-at-large; and
  • Daniel Saint-Germain, DC, FCLB-appointed director.
  • Frank Hideg, DC, chairman of the board

The FCLB delegates also held elections:

  • N. Edwin Weathersby, DC, , president;
  • Oliver “Bud” Smith, DC, vice president; and
  • Daniel Saint-Germain, DC, treasurer.

The appointment of Saint-Germain, who is from Quebec, marks the first time that a non-U.S. citizen will serve on the NBCE Board. The appointment came at a meeting whose theme was “Regulation Without Borders.” The NBCE administers pre-licensure examinations in Canada, England, France and Australia and is currently working with chiropractic leaders in Brazil and Japan to provide standardized testing on a broader international scale.
