Two DCs selected as delegates to
national aging conference
Steven Weiniger, DC, of Conyers, Ga., and Ritch Miller, DC, of Omaha, Neb., have been selected as delegates to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging (WHCoA). They will join 1,200 delegates from throughout the United States at this conference, which is held only once each decade.
Dr. Weiniger is president of the Body Zone (www.bodyzone.com). Dr. Miller is national chairman of the Medicare committee for the American Chiropractic Association (www.amerchiro.org).
Delegates will vote on resolutions and develop implementation strategies that will guide the President and Congress to shape aging policies for the next 10 years and beyond.
The theme for the 2005 conference is “The Booming Dynamics of Aging: From Awareness to Action.” The theme reflects the 78 million baby boomers who begin to turn 60 in 2006.
The conference agenda includes:
• Planning along the lifespan,
• The workplace of the future,
• Our community,
• Health and long-term living,
• Social engagement, and
• Marketplace.
