NWHSU recognizes clinical excellence

Tim Mick, DC, an associate professor of radiology at Northwestern Health Sciences University, recently received a Clinical Excellence award from the University. The award was presented during Northwestern’s annual Faculty Honors Luncheon on July 7. The Faculty Excellence Awards are presented each year by Northwestern’s Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment. Members of the faculty nominate one another for the awards.

Mick was honored for his dedication to students, patients, and the chiropractic profession, said Noni Threinen, DC, Northwestern’s institutional effectiveness administrator. He has been a faculty member since 1989 and is the director of radiological consultation at Northwestern.

Mick has published numerous journal articles, written chapters for a number of textbooks and serves on several editorial boards, as well as the test committee for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He has also lectured across the country to various state and national organizations, and provides many post-graduate lectures at Northwestern.

Mick was recently honored as the Educator of the Year by the Minnesota Chiropractic Association and has received the MCA President’s Award for outstanding service to the profession. He is active in state and national organizations, currently serving as president of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology and past president of the American Chiropractic Association’s Council on Diagnostic Imaging.
