New enzymes Web site launched
The Enzyme Research Group (ERG), a consortium of healthcare professionals, has launched a new Internet site (www.enzymeresearchgroup.net) designed to provide consumer information on enzymes as dietary supplements and provide the up-to-date information and research on their evolving role in healthcare.
The ERG was founded for the purpose of “bringing the academic and healing community together to strategically gather effective and proven clinical research on enzymes for the sake of advancement in nutrition therapy, prevention and optimal health for the individual.
According to ERG, enzymes have been studied in Europe for more than 50 years. However, most of the research has been focused on glandular or animal-based enzymes. ERG will open up the opportunity for published research on plant-based and microbial-sourced enzyme therapy.
The organization will include collaborative groups, health professionals, and projects to ensure a comprehensive and efficacious outcome.
