Chiro salary survey now open

Chiropractic Economics 9th Annual Salary and Expense Survey is now available online at www.ChiroEco.com.

According to editor Linda Segall, the survey should take about 10 minutes to complete if you have all information available.

What information do you need to complete the survey? Most is self-explanatory and much is demographic, such as your age and gender, says Segall. But you will also need to fill in information on:

• Patient visits (PVA, new patients, and visits per clinic);

• An approximation by percent of your revenue sources (e.g. cash, insurance, Medicare, auto insurance, workers’ comp, consulting, and products);

• Average salaries for each category of employees (CAs, MDs, associates, LMTs, PTs);

• Average annual expenses for advertising/marketing, business supplies, computers/software, continuing education/travel, staff training, equipment leases, malpractice insurance, office space, professional services, loans, and diagnostic services).

You’ll also need to know your clinic’s billings, collections, net income, and your own net income. (You will select from a drop-down menu of ranges for each of these categories.)

The survey will be posted until the end of January, says Segall. She invites you to tell your colleagues or send them this news story. “This is the only annual salary and expense survey in chiropractic,” she says. “The more respondents that participate, the more significant the data.”
