Parker announces new
board members
Parker College of Chiropractic
has announced the selection of three new members for its Board
of Trustees. They are John Donovan, DC, Carroll, Iowa; Maria
Fisher, MD, Arlington, Texas; and D. T. Nguyen, Dallas.
Donovan has practiced chiropractic
for more than 50 years. He is a member of the American Chiropractic
Association, International Chiropractic Association, and the
Chiropractic Knights of the Round Table. Donovan is also a
board member of the National Institute of Chiropractic Research
(NICR). He is a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College and
a member of the Palmer Academy of Chiropractors. Donovan has
served previously on the Parker board.
A chiropractic patient, Fisher
redesigned her medical practice into a wellness practice,
encouraging patients to make healthy lifestyle changes. She
holds certification with the American Board of Pediatrics
and is a certified personal trainer through The Cooper Institute.
Fisher works with diabetic
children to decrease their dependence on insulin by incorporating
diet modification and exercise. She received her doctor of
medicine degree from the University of Nebraska College of
Medicine, Omaha, and completed her pediatric internship and
residency at the Creighton/Nebraska Universities Health Foundation,
Omaha.
Nguyen brings 20 years of
experience in healthcare, insurance billing, and technology
to the Parker Board of Trustees. He is chair, president, and
chief executive officer of Xactimed, a Dallas-based firm offering
Web-based revenue cycle solutions and outsourcing services
to the healthcare industry. Nguyen founded the company in
1998.
The three new board members
succeed Brian Flanagan, Walter Parish, and Dean Baranowski,
who have completed their terms of service to the Parker board.
Parker board members serve as volunteers and are not compensated
for their service.
