D’Youville receives Wendt Foundation grant

D’Youville College recently rfor demo project participantseceived a $350,000 grant from the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation in support of the college’s chiropractic program. The funds will be used to equip a diagnostic imaging classroom and create an off-campus clinic.

A portion of the grant will be used to equip a chiropractic health clinic to be established as an affiliated academic health center of the college. Students in the program will complete a major portion of their internship requirements in the clinic, which will provide supervised chiropractic services to area residents.

D’Youville’s doctor of chiropractic program is open to entering freshmen and transfer students and can be completed in four years. Students can earn both a bachelor of science degree and a doctor of chiropractic degree in seven years.

D’Youville introduced its seven-year degree program in 2004 and is the second U.S. college to offer a four-year multidisciplinary program in chiropractic.
