SBA to host Web chat on small business and healthcare
The U.S. Small Business Association will host a live, interactive Web chat on Aug. 25, to engage business owners in a national dialogue about healthcare and small business. The Web chat will also give participants information about affordable health coverage for their employees.
Small businesses owners will also learn about the proposed Association Health Plans legislation and Health Savings Accounts.
From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., EDT, Karen Kerrigan, founder of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council, and J.P. Wieske, director of State Affairs for the Council for Affordable Health Insurance (CAHI), will share their expertise and answer participants’ questions.
The Web chat, entitled “Health Care and Your Small Business,” will focus on public policy and advocacy with respect to small business and cost-efficient solutions to the challenges of health care coverage.
Participants can join the live Web chat by going online to www.sba.gov, and clicking “Your Small Business Voice Online Chat.”
