National University receives rehab technology gift

National University of Health Sciences welcomed a contribution of advanced technology for the rehabilitation of shoulder, forearm and knee injuries from Hal Richart, DC, through Performance Health Technologies.

The donation was for computerized SportRAC equipment to the university. The equipment, which is often used to increase proprioception of the shoulder, can also help evaluate and increase function and range of motion in patients with sports injuries or injuries from overuse or accidents. Computerized sensors translate motion exercises into visual images on a computer screen. The software program can also track a patient’s progress through the course of rehabilitation therapy.
