Foot Levelers donates pillows to homeless shelters

Residents at local shelters in Roanoke, Va., are able to sleep better with the gift of 375 pillows to the Rescue Mission and 125 pillows to the Salvation Army.

Foot Levelers Inc. made the donation to the shelters, which provide temporary housing for victims of homelessness, addiction, poverty and other personal crises. The Rescue Mission currently has a 233-bed capacity and will add another 130 beds this fall with the opening of a Women and Children’s Center, a recovery house for women with dependent children. The Salvation Army has a 110-bed capacity.
