WFC invites all DCs to participate in identify survey
More than 35,000 doctors of chiropractic will be receiving an e-mail invitation to participate in an online survey sponsored by the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC). The survey, which will be conducted throughout October, will compile information on how the profession sees itself.
WFC past-president Gerard W.Clum, DC, told Chiropractic Economics, “We are collecting feedback and assembling it to provide information on how chiropractors see themselves around the world.” He stressed that WFC is not trying to develop a single definition to be pushed onto the chiropractic community.
Once the information is compiled and analyzed by a third-party processor, said Clum, it will be possible to see how chiropractors see themselves as practitioners in the various countries of the world. Formal release of the survey information is scheduled for June 2005 at the WFC conference in Australia.
The e-mail invitation went out to every WFC member association. All chiropractors are invited to participate in the survey, said Clum. If you did not receive an e-mail invitation, you can contact the WFC at identity@wfc.org. Include your e-mail address, your name, school and year of graduation in the e-mail. The WFC will e-mail you a pass code to access the survey.
Clum, who is president of Life Chiropractic College West, encouraged all chiropractors to participate. “If you don’t respond, your opinion does not get reflected,” he said.
