Tribute to ‘Tremendous’ slated

A professional speaker who has been addressing and inspiring chiropractors for 55 years will be honored at a chiropractic seminar in Las Vegas in February.

Charles “Tremendous” Jones, considered the “granddaddy of professional speakers, will be the focus of attention in a “Tribute to Tremendous” at the annual Karl Parker Seminar, Feb. 10-13, 2005. According to Parker, the conference will include more than 33 speakers and 88 classes, including a number of nationally known speakers such as Gary Null, Tim Brown (of the Oakland Raiders), Dan Murphy, Guy Riekeman and Richard Brassard.

“To insure this is a profession-supported tribute,” said Parker, “we are arranging things so everyone coming to pay tribute can come free to the seminar and will still be eligible to attend all the classes, the expo and take advantage of license renewal.”

Dr. Paul Phillips of Vancouver, Wash., is chairing the tribute committee. He would like all chiropractors “who have been touched by Jones” to submit a “letter to Charlie,” which will be presented to him in an album. Jones will also receive an honorary doctor of chiropractic humanities degree at the tribute.
