Parker names new dean of enrollment
Dr. John Plotts has been named Dean of Enrollment Management at Parker College of Chiropractic. In his capacity as dean, Plotts will oversee both the Admissions and Financial Aid departments at Parker College.
“Dr. Plotts comes to Parker College with vast knowledge in this highly specialized area. We seek only the most qualified students for admission into our Doctor of chiropractic degree program,” said Dr. Neil Stern, Vice President for Administration, who stated that Parker College will seek to cap its enrollment at 1,000 students.”
Prior to coming to Parker College, Plotts served as Director of the Howard Center for Christian Studies at Park Cities Baptist Church, Dallas. Dr. Plotts began his career in higher education as Director for Admissions at Dallas Baptist University in 1992. He also served DBU as Dean of the College of Adult Education, Vice President for Enrollment and Administrative Affairs, and Vice President for Executive Student Affairs.
Plotts has taught numerous classes on the university level and has published articles in professional education journals. Additionally, he is a member of the Association for the Study of Higher Education, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
Plotts holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania, Clark Summit; a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Education from the University of North Texas, Denton.
