NUHS partners with university to offer MPH degree
Chiropractic students and alumni from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) now have the option of pursuing a master of public health degree (MPH) through a cooperative effort with Missouri’s A.T. Still University of Health Sciences.
“This cooperative arrangement streamlines the application and acceptance process for our students and alumni regarding admission to the MPH program, and also gives them discounted tuition fees at A.T. Still,” explains NUHS’ Academic Dean Randy Swenson.
The MPH program is completed through the School of Health Management, A.T. Still’s online graduate education program. Other schools affiliated with A.T. Still University of Health Sciences include Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Arizona School of Health Sciences and the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
The MPH degree is particularly appropriate for chiropractic physicians who plan to work in federal, state, or local health agencies or for those who want to work in international health organizations. The degree is also highly suitable for chiropractic physicians who envision public or private-sector careers in policy areas such as environmental health, occupational health, disease prevention and control, injury prevention, or substance abuse.
