3 chiro organizations to meet on legislative issues
Three chiropractic associations will join together on April 29 in Washington, DC, in a historic legislative conference. The International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) and Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations (FSCO) — all members of the Chiropractic Coalition — will work together on legislative affairs.
The organization invite all subluxation-based chiropractors to joint them in this gathering, the first time three organizations are coming together with shared goals. "All chiropractors who want to insure that vertebral subluxation remains the focus in chiropractic need to support the Coalition's efforts and should attend Legislative Day", said Gary Horwin, FSCO president. "This will go a long way in confirming that we represent mainstream chiropractic."
“ICA is a very excited about the power of this unprecedented cooperative effort, said ICA legislative committee chair Michael S. McLean, DC. Terry A. Rondberg, DC. president of the WCA, said, "This special day of united effort will help chiropractors set legislative policy that will guide the profession for years.”
Legislative Work Day 2004 will be held on Thursday, April 29 at the JW Marriot Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, but events will also be held in the Capitol complex itself.
Events will kick off at 8 a.m. at the Rayburn Building at the Capitol for a political rally and send off. Throughout the day, individuals will meet during pre-arranged appointments with their legislators. Between meetings, various senators, representatives and officials from government agencies will speak.
