JMPT gets new editor

The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (JMPT) , which has been headed Dr. Dana Lawrence, editor of JMPT since 1987, will be directed by a new editor, Dr. Claire Johnson, who has worked with Lawrence as associate editor since January 2004. The journals are published by the National University of Health Sciences.

Lawrence had also edited the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine and the Journal of Chiropractic Humanities. He resigned from his position effective July 1 for personal reasons. He was the second editor of JMPT after Dr. Roy Hildebrandt.

In recognition of Lawrence's years of service as journal editor, National's president, Dr. James Winterstein, conferred Lawrence with the honorary title "Editor Emeritus," effective immediately and continuing for the next five years.

JMPT is the premier research publication serving the chiropractic profession, and the only journal in the profession that is part of Index Medicus.
