WCA announces 2003 awards
The World Chiropractic Alliance
(WCA) announced the recipients of its annual Chiropractic
Awards, given to honor individuals who have advanced the cause
of chiropractic around the country and the world.
• Chiropractor
of the Year: Leona Fischer, DC. Fischer is a member
of the WCA International Board of Governors and served on
the Veterans Affairs Chiropractic Advisory Committee.
• Outstanding
Service: Jerry Hardee, EdD. Hardee is president of
Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic.
• Researcher
of the Year: Madeline Behrendt, DC. Behrendt chairs
the WCA Council on Women’s Health and was a member of
the chiropractic panel that gave a special presentation at
the United Nations Conference on Women in 2001. In 2002, Behrendt
was named associate editor of the Journal of Vertebral
Subluxation Research.
• Humanitarian
of the Year: Bobby Doscher, DC. Doscher is president
and CEO of Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center.
