NUHS offers accelerated prerequisite program

Students who desire a chiropractic education, but don’t have the necessary science courses in their undergraduate transcript, have a new option: National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) is introducing an “Accelerated Prerequisite Program” beginning in the 2004 summer trimester.

The accelerated program will allows students to finish one or several required bachelor-level science courses in two eight-week sessions prior to starting their doctoral program. NUHS requires a bachelor’s degree for admission into the chiropractic college; however, a science background is not a prerequisite.

Students taking the accelerated program will also be offered a 50 percent discount per credit hour, compared to the normal bachelor’s tuition rate. Financial aid and student housing will be available.

Interested students can call the NUHS Office of Admissions at 800-826-6285. NUHS is located in Lombard, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.
