Palmer’s Daytona Fountainhead a ‘go’
Palmer College’s Florida Fountainhead Experience is scheduled for Feb. 20 and 21 at the Hilton Resort in Daytona Beach, Fla. And despite a scheduling change for Friday evening, the event will be an excellent continuing-education experience, according to Heidi Wheatley, director of Fountainhead Programs for the Palmer Institute of Professional Advancement.
Guy Riekeman, DC, was originally scheduled to conduct a “patient education evening” on Friday. Because of Riekeman’s resignation and the university’s restructuring, announced Feb. 6 by Vickie Ann Palmer, chairperson of the board of trustees, the Friday event will be replaced with another special event yet to be determined. (See related story, “Chancellor resigns; Palmer realigns with Kern as interim president.”)
Other speakers for the Florida Fountainhead include Maxine McMullen, DC, Steve Savoie, DC, and Janice Hughes, DC. Registrants will also be treated to a play, “Chiropractic on Trial,” which features a tribute to chiropractors who went to jail for their profession. The event ends with dinner and dancing on Saturday night.
