Palmer appoints PCCW interim president
The Board of Trustees of the Palmer Chiropractic University System has announced that Peter Martin, DC, will serve as interim president of Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, Calif.
Martin was president of the Palmer College of Chiropractic West from 1992 to 2001 and held teaching appointments at Palmer College in Davenport from 1966 to 1976. He also served in a number of administrative positions at Palmer College during this time.
"I'm a strong supporter of the Palmer Tenets," said Dr. Martin. "I'm eager to serve Palmer again."
Martin is currently serving as dean in the health sciences area at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Conn. He is a past president of the Council on Chiropractic Education. He started his chiropractic practice in Lancaster, Calif., in 1982 and later served as president of the California Chiropractic Association. He was appointed to the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 1991.
His teaching history includes assignments at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, Chapman College in Lancaster, and the British School of Naturopathy and Osteopathy.
Martin graduated with honors from the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy in London prior to receiving his D.C. degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport in 1968.
Bob Lee will serve in an administrative support role at Palmer College of Chiropractic West until Martin relocates to San Jose.
