Test applications available online

DECEMBER 22, 2004 — Applications and information brochures for the spring written and practical examinations from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners are now available at www.nbce.org.

According to Horace C. Elliott, NBCE executive vice president, this new application process has been developed to assist examinees and the board's processing department by helping to ensure that all required fields are completed and that the information submitted is legible.

The refined application process gives examinees additional options for completing their applications. They may now enter information using an online questionnaire and then print the completed application. Or, they may download the application from the NBCE Web site and complete the application by hand.

In either case, once the application is completed, an examinee must submit the finalized application to the National Board by mail with the appropriate fees, signatures and photographs attached.

Previously, examinees used the paper application provided in the spring or fall application. This option is still available, but NBCE anticipates that examinees will find the computerized version easier to use and more accessible.

To date 2,100 written and practical applications have been completed online.
