NUHS students receive scholarships

Eighteen students at National University of Health Sciences were recently honored with scholarship awards. Each award was based on specific criteria including academic excellence, personal achievement and community service.

Receiving the scholarships were students Desiree Thompson, Cori Bauer, Erin Strauch, Paul Mikulski, Jennifer Perry Aaron Locke, Jennifer Reinking, Katie Samsel, Lis Lombardo, Max Barrett, Brad Farney, Jennifer Rudhman, Mitch Stanlick, Katie Kielpinski, Alicia Lewitt. Jena Swenson, Jennifer Ma, and Joe Stiefel.

“These are the students who will go on to lead our profession,” remarked NUHS President James Winterstein, who personally awarded each scholarship at an awards reception on the Lombard campus.

The awards are made possible through significant donations made to the university in the name of, or in memorial to, friends of chiropractic medicine.
