Cox shares expertise with Palmer CC
Palmer College of Chiropractic
students tapped into the expertise and experience of researcher
James M. Cox, DC, DACBR, developer of the Cox Distraction
Manipulation Technique (often called the Flexion Distraction
Technique).
Cox was on the Palmer College
campus for training sessions in early April to speak to students,
faculty and staff on April 2 about “Flexion Distraction
Technique and Research in Low-back Pain.” He gave his
audience a comprehensive overview of the status of low-back
pain research in chiropractic and demonstrated the Cox Distraction
Manipulation Technique.
Serving as an advisor for two
large low-back pain research projects at the Palmer Center
for Chiropractic Research, Cox is volunteering his time to
train the 10 clinicians who will provide chiropractic care
for patients in the studies. This low-back pain research is
slated to begin in May 2004 in the Palmer Chiropractic Research
Clinic.
