How many vacation days for your staff?

How many paid vacation days should you give your staff? To remain competitive, you may want to consider the findings of a recent survey taken by the Society for Human Resource Management.

The average paid vacation time for employees with less than one year was 6.28 days. Paid time off (a benefit in which sick leave, vacation leave and personal days are combined into one plan) averaged 13.24 days for employees with less than one year.

For employees who have ten or more years with a company, the average paid vacation was 18.65 days and paid time off was 25.30 days.
