NCBE plans a ‘Master’s Review II’

Plans are underway for a "Master's Review II" of the Part IV exam to take place at National Board of Chiropractic Examiners’ headquarters in Greeley, Colo., in early 2004. The focus of the review will be the same as the first review, conducted in March 2001 — to explore innovative ways to measure clinical competency in the practical testing area as well as to identify trends in chiropractic education, research and practice, to incorporate into the Part IV exam.

The first review gathered experts in the fields of radiology, orthopedics, chiropractic technique, chiropractic research and practical testing.

NBCE President Peter Ferguson, DC, said, "I am looking forward to convening this important panel. With their help, the NBCE will strengthen the excellent program of testing we provide in clinical competency. These experts will help us stay on the leading edge of practical testing."

The NBCE is a nonprofit organization overseen by 11 directors, five of whom are elected by their NBCE districts, four who serve as "at-large" representatives and two who are appointed by the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards.
