Metagenics earns GMP certification
The National Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA), has conferred its Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification and an A rating for compliance to Metagenics, a nutritional supplement and medical foods company.
The goal of the NNFA certification program is to ensure that all elements of a companys manufacturing processes meet specified performance standards on each measure, including quality and disease control, cleanliness and training, receiving and testing of raw materials and procedures for storage and distribution. To earn GMP rating, a company must meet or exceed NNFA standards through a comprehensive audit conducted by third-party inspectors of personnel, plants and grounds, sanitation, equipment, quality operations, production and process controls and warehouse, distribution and post-distribution practices.
