Logan appoints research director, CIO
Logan College of Chiropractic has announced appointments of a new research director and a chief information officer.
Douglas Dean, PhD has joined the college as director of its research division. David Imler is the new chief information officer.
Dean spent the last 15 years as professor, associate professor and assistant professor in the cell biology department at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
At the medical school Dean conducted extensive research into a variety of aspects of cell biology at the molecular level. His primary research interests have included the role of adhesion molecules during cellular development, the tumor suppressor retinoblastoma protein and its role in the cell cycle and a second tumor repressor known as ZEB.
At Logan, Dean will design and oversee research studies. He will also teach physics in the school’s Accelerated Science Program.
Imler has managed information system for many types of organization. He will oversee Logan’s information systems and media production departments.
Imler was formerly with St. Louis’ Fontbonne University, where he was director of information technology and responsible for a major, long-term, campus-wide technology upgrade.
