NBCE to send out job-analysis form

OCT. 1, 2003 — About 10,000 randomly selected doctors of chiropractic will have the opportunity to provide input about how they perform their jobs. The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners plans to mail survey forms in mid-October. The surveys will be compiled and summarized in the Job Analysis of Chiropractic 2005.

The job analysis plays an integral role in informing and educating state boards, state associations, state legislators and insurance carriers about the practice patterns of full-time chiropractors, says the NBCE. The information contained in the job analysis provides the chiropractic profession with data that is helpful to deal with insurance coverage and reimbursement issues. It is also used to help form the appropriate basis of the NBC Parts III and IV exams.
